The European Atherosclerosis Society leadership have been following closely recent, rapidly changing world-wide developments in response to COVID-19. It is most important to us to hold the meeting under circumstances where the safety and well-being of Congress faculty, attendees, supporters and staff can be assured. In the light of the unprecedented challenges facing our community we have taken the decision to reschedule this year’s Congress to the autumn.
After careful consideration of a number of possible options, the EAS Executive Committee has decided that EAS 2020 Geneva will proceed with the original programme on new dates: October 04-07, 2020. This allows us to keep all other aspects of the Congress: we go ahead in the city of Geneva, at Palexpo; we maintain the high quality of the scientific programme, and we preserve all the opportunities for discussion and networking that are an essential and much-appreciated part of the EAS Congress experience.
We appreciate that this rescheduling will have consequences for your attendance. You can find answers to the most immediate questions already below. This information will be updated in the coming days as we are able to provide more details. Please check here for updates.
